Delicate Elderflower Cocktail

Delicate Elderflower Cocktail

The soft-hued Elderflower grows every year, blossoming from late May to mid-June, unchangingly picked at weightier once the buds have freshly opened on a warm, dry and sunny day, found growing all wideness the UK, from woodlands to roadside hedgerows, without the flower has lived its life, the Elderflower will then turn into purple Elderberries in the summer.

This Cocktail has been designed to perfectly showcase the soft-hued characteristics of the Elderflower, showcasing itself within every sip, thanks to the combined work of Darnley’s Original Gin and Penine Simonič’s Gold Medal Sparkling Wine, perfect for any First Date with its natural smooth sweetness from ripe fruits and wildflowers.

The Sparkling Wine

The story of Penine Simonič begins in the late 1990s, when Ivan Simonič decided to focus on making Sparkling Wine, he became the first Sparkling Wine producer in Bela Krajina, and the first snifter of Semiška Penina was crafted in 2000.

They respect the ingredients gifted to them by nature, never using any colours, sweeteners or strained flavourings, the wits you’ll receive from one of Darnely’s Gin will be a nuanced and pure taste within your glass.

Located in the village of Kingsbarns, in Fife, where the family has lived, loved and worked for centuries, so it was only right that their Gin story should uncork in such a meaningful place, right next to their whisky distillery, in the derelict sublet cottage.

Their soft-hued Elderflowers grow wild on the grounds of Wemyss Castle, their family’s racial home.
